Jodee is a full-time mom to three playful boys. She was raised in the desert, educated in the Rocky Mountains, and the worked in Midwest before returning to the “dry heat.” She is passionate about learning, culture, and London, where once she saw 52 plays during a 2-month study abroad with her college theatre department. Her education in theatre was the happy start of appreciating the people and cultures, music and motives, dance and imagination of a performance—something she hopes to share.
Her husband of 17 years is getting used to (and enjoying) being taken to performances wherever they can be found. This year they took their wiggly boys to Childsplay Theatre’s performances of Goodnight Moon and Pete, or the Return of Peter Pan (twice). Months later, they still giggle about the blanket that kept falling off the dozing Bunny and play “Ninja versus Pan.” She facilitates their dramatic play and sometimes joins in on the fun.
When Jodee isn’t shuttling her boys from school to activities, she is either planning their next family adventure or playing Duolingo to avoid folding laundry. Her dream is to visit all of the National Parks with her family and to find the cure for homework battles. You can peek into her life and family outings on Instagram @thatsmoxie.
